Polychrome Jasper | Stone Information, Healing Properties, Uses All Entries
Polychrome Jasper or Desert Jasper is a relatively new find in Madagascar. Composed of an opaque form of chalcedony or silica, different trace minerals will change the color of the stone. Named for its variety of colors within any given section, often the colors exhibited are red, yellow-orange, brown, gray or green, and blue is rare. As polishing occurs, layers of colors are revealed beneath other colors. Jasper sustains and supports during times of stress, bringing a sense of tranquility and wholeness. Able to absorb all types of negative energies, it is a stone of protection.
