Ethiopian opal All Entries
Ethiopian opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica. They have body colors that often range from yellow to orange to red, but can also be white or clear. Ethiopian opals are considered "precious" opals, meaning that they display a bright play-of-color or iridescence, as opposed to common opal which does not. It is important to note that Ethiopian opals are "hydrophane," meaning that they easily absorb water, so it is best to avoid getting your opal wet. Ethiopian opals powerfully stimulate the auric field and energize all chakras. Like fire opals, which have a similar yellow/orange/red body color, they also resonate especially strongly with the first three chakras. Because of this, Ethiopian opals are wonderful for helping us to awaken our passion and creativity. For anyone who would like to be more confident, outgoing, and optimistic, Ethiopian opals make great companions to help stimulate these attributes. They ease fears, inhibitions, and self-consciousness, offering us greater self expression and enjoyment of the pleasures of life.
