Sunset Fossil Onyx is a banded Mexican onyx formed layer by layer by mineral-rich spring water, with pockets of travertine and ancient shell fossils captured between the bands. Water brings it to life! As it sheets down the stone, the honey bands deepen to amber and the pale layers glow, and with a light placed behind it at night the thinner sections turn translucent for a soft, ethereal glow. Because every onyx forms differently, this pattern can never be repeated.
