Every few months, drain the basin and gently scrub the surface with a soft brush and mild soap or diluted vinegar to remove mineral buildup and algae. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washing, which can damage the surface. Using distilled water or a fountain-safe water treatment helps reduce white scaling. To protect the finish and slow staining, apply a concrete or masonry sealer every 1–2 years.
