Unakite | Stone Information, Healing Properties, Uses

What Is Unakite?

Unakite is a unique blend of green Epidote and pink Feldspar, often flecked with Quartz. The result is a mottled, earthy stone with soft greens and gentle pinks—like a mossy forest floor in spring. Its appearance is raw, grounding, and surprisingly comforting.

First discovered in the Unaka Mountains of North Carolina (hence the name), Unakite is found in the U.S., South Africa, Brazil, and China. It’s often carved into worry stones, spheres, or used in jewelry due to its durability and warmth.

Metaphysical Meaning

Chakra: Heart
Unakite is known for balancing emotional healing with forward momentum. It’s often recommended for those working through past trauma, grief, or self-worth challenges, gently encouraging release and renewal.

It’s especially popular for:

  • Emotional grounding during life transitions

  • Supporting heart-based intentions or journaling rituals

  • Encouraging slow, steady personal growth

How to Use or Display It

Unakite’s calming palette makes it a great crystal to place in your bedroom, meditation space, or reading nook. Carry a Unakite palm stone or heart during moments of emotional reflection, or use it in grounding crystal grids to create a supportive energy field.
