A new, larger-than-life resident has landed in Carefree, and it’s creating quite a buzz.

Standing 14 feet tall at the corner of Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway, a towering statue of Bumblebee—the beloved yellow Transformer from the hit movie franchise—is quickly becoming one of the Valley’s most popular new photo spots.

Commissioned by Wayne Helfand, proprietor of Rare Earth Gallery in Cave Creek, the statue arrived in multiple pieces from Indonesia. It was then assembled in front of a currently vacant building affiliated with the gallery.
